PCFL at Truman 2019

I wanted to reach out some additional information about the PCFL at Truman on October 26th:
 
Registration: 
Registration is open at http://octpcfl19.tabroom.com. The deadline to register is Thursday, October 24th at 5:00 pm. 
 
Double Entry:
As a reminder, the tournament at Truman will be a double entry tournament. This tournament will include Impromptu and Info as non-PCFL event options. Students may enter in one event from flight A and one event from flight B. As a note, because of scheduling restrictions, students in Congress and Policy are not able to double enter with another event.

Judges:
Because of the nature of the schedule, schools may double enter judges between the LD and PF pool, if needed. Judges may not be double counted in any other pool. 
 
If you are looking to hire a judge, you may put in a request to do so for $80 by Sunday, October 20th by requesting it on Tabroom under that event judge pool. Last minute hire requests are available until Thursday, October 24th for an additional $10 fee. 
 
Updated Congress Legislation: 
If you have new bills that you would like to send in for Congress (either to replace the bills that are already in the docket or to add to the current docket) please send them to Pat McGhee by Friday, 10/18.
 
 
Schedule for the day:
I have attached a copy of the master schedule on the side of this page. Registration will start at 8:00 am. We should be wrapped up around 4:00 pm. 
 
A Reminder about Topics:
  • JV LD: Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified.
  • V LD: Resolved: In the United States, colleges and universities ought not consider standardized tests in undergraduate admissions decisions.
  • PF: Resolved: The European Union should join the Belt and Road Initiative.
  • Policy: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce Direct Commercial Sales and/or Foreign Military Sales of arms from the United States.
  • V Congress will start at Bill #8
  • JV Congress will start at Bill #9
